best electronics to buy in nigeria and the worst electronics to avoid in developing countries...

BEST ELECTRONICS (HOME APPLIANCES)

TO BUY IN NIGERIA.

When it comes to buying electronic in Nigeria you need to be very careful of the kind of product to buy, due to our epileptic power supply in Nigeria, your day-old electronic set can go from 100% working to 0% not working and the next thing you start saying is “VILLAGE PEOPLE”. In other to avoid that phrase or clause or any English you want to call it, you need to know what to buy that suite your environment. For example, buying a car that was made for a country that has a very cold weather and using that same car in a country with a very hot weather. What am trying to say is that when It comes to electronics the major cause of any problem is caused by our stupid NEPA and LIGHTING OR THUNDER.

PROBLEM CAUSED BY POWER SUPPLY.
Repeated "on" and "off" of power can make your electronic go kaboom, it is as simple as that.

PROBLEM CAUSED BY LIGHTING.
Lighting strike can damage your electronics even if it is not switched on. why? Because most houses in Nigeria don’t have earth wire.

SOLUTION
Buying a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) will protect your electronics from problems caused by power supply, but it can’t save your electronics from lighting strike.
So, it still boils down to buying an electronic set that can withstand the above-mentioned problems.

The electronics devices we will be concentrating on are HOME APPLIANCES (tv, radio, DVD, home theater) basically all home entertainment electronics device.

Point to note: we are concentrating of durability as our main focus….
When it comes to home electronics (living room) the best types of electronics devices to buy that can stand the test of time are listed below.

1.     SONY. Founded: 7 May 1946, Tokyo, Japan. If you are writing an exam and there is a question that says name the most powerful home electronic device you know? Please and please the answer is SONY. If you name any other product like LG you will fail that question and the whole exam. When it comes to picture quality, sound and durability SONY is the number one.

2.     SAMSUNG. Founded: 1 March 1938, Seoul, South Korea. Samsung is one of the oldest and strongest electronics device, if you have used some of the product like SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB or phone you will notice that it hardly get damage so also are their electronic device.to clear any doubt just go to any store that sells used phone, you will see Samsung phone that was made 6 years ago still working perfectly, same thing applies to other Samsung device.
3.     PANASONIC. Founded 13 March 1918, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. Go to any bank and just check out their AIRCONDITION UNIT. You will discover that all of them are PANASONIC PRODUCT, why? Because of its durability.
4.     SHARP. Founded 15 September 1912, Tokyo, Japan. Sharp is simply sharp and strong. Its one of the oldest electronic devices and has been able to stand still date.

PRODUCTS TO AVOID
1.     Lg
2.     Hisense
3.     Polystar
All these products are good to buy in any other country where there is steady power supply and a well-built housing system with all the necessary protocol followed (earth wire), but when it comes to Nigeria where anything goes please avoid Lg, Hisense and Polystar because these products are built for country with steady power supply etc.
For example, it’s mostly LG product in Nigeria that the LG company will give you a WARRANTY that if you have any problem within a specified period you should bring back the product and get a new one.
The point am driving at is that LG knows that customers always have problems with their product.

The Bottom line is unless you have an inverter or UPS connected to your TV please try and go for the best product rather than buying a cheap product that can’t stand the test of time.
